Bodystat QuadScan 4000 vs InBody BWA 2.0S

Bodystat QuadScan 4000 and InBody BWA 2.0S: compare documented specifications, features and limitations. Check the reports and explanation offered by the provider. More features alone do not establish better accuracy.

Bodystat QuadScan 4000: when to consider it

QuadScan 4000 measures impedance at four frequencies using adhesive electrodes. Alongside estimated fat and fat-free mass, it reports body-water compartments, resistance, reactance and phase angle. Testing is supine; the operator enters height and weight.

InBody BWA 2.0S: when to consider it

The newer BWA 2.0S combines detailed water results with composition and offers a shorter test than the original BWA. Testing can also take place while lying or seated. It is mainly intended for care where a professional follows water distribution and muscle quantity over time.

Fat-free mass is not pure muscle mass. A single result is not a diagnosis. Different devices and similarly named metrics may use definitions that are not interchangeable.
